Diamond Baseballs
There are only two kinds of baseballs that actually hit
well; Diamond and Major League. Diamond baseballs are used by most college and
high school teams and cost about $50 for a dozen. A cheap, but worse ball
might only cost $20/dozen. Major League baseballs can be bought for about $10
each. They hit well, but not as well as the balls that the pros use. For
example, when I was 15 I used a ball I caught during the Detroit Tigers batting
practice and found it would hit about 50 feet farther than any other
ball. Moral of the story; If you want a baseball that will hit far, use
Diamond or Major League baseballs.
